Magnolia One represents Turkish heritage and luxury

Magnolia One is a diversion from the latest generation of yachts with exterior styling sometimes resembling white, plastic wedding cake stacks. Beckoning the golden age of yachting, Magnolia One’s graceful lines and fine craftsmanship radiate elegance, nostalgia, and Turkish charm. While dubbed a pocket superyacht, Magnolia’s DNA channels the architect’s penchant for the traditional Turkish Gulet, a broad-beamed wooden schooner with a raised bow, a broad, flat stern and shallow draft.

Turkey’s leading naval architect, Osman Tanju Kalaycıoğlu, leveraged the innate charm of his country’s classic trawler into Magnolia One, evolving the exterior styling from a spartan fishing boat into a crewed, luxury yacht with all the amenities.

With a handsome, dark green hull made from epoxy laminated Acajou mahogany and laid teak decks, Magnolia One is a true neo-classic yacht. Her unique profile and exterior styling represent a winning combination with stylized design of vintage yachts complimented by today’s technology. The naval architecture represents a round bilge with a soft deep skeg, spray chine forward, separation chine stern and transom wedge.

At 79 feet with an innately broad beam of 21 feet, Magnolia’s trawler-inspired lines create expansive deck space, including increased stability, a wider range, generous living space and the ability to carry and launch a tender.

With interior design by Asli Hotic and Atilla Eren, Magnolia sports dark wood floors, light oak furniture and white satin lacquer with marble accents for a stunning contrast with old world charm. The main saloon is illuminated with a skylight and large windows.

Guests enjoy three staterooms with complete en-suite. The accommodation includes a full-beam owner’s suite, a forward VIP and one twin cabin on the lower deck to collectively sleep six guests. Two cabins on lower deck comprise quarters for three crew members.

A generous flybridge provides comfortable seating and a wet bar, with more lounging and dining areas on the sun deck and inside the shaded cockpit.

Crew have unhindered traffic starting from the wheelbase forward, back to galley, down to crew mess, further aft to engine room, lazzarette and out to stern platform. The wheelhouse connects to the foredeck through port and starboard doors and is fitted with a central ship’s wheel and navigation station accessing the foredeck. A second helm station on the flybridge represents convenient cruising with additional sightlines.

Two wide side decks running from bow to stern create flow to the superstructure. The stern provides a beach club with a multi-purpose platform lifting and lowering to create a gangway or waterside lounge. The main deck aft’s shaded cockpit has a U-shaped sofa and table for 12, while the sundeck is equipped with another alfresco dining area and bar. Tenders and toys stored aft of the upper deck are deployed with an integrated, telescopic crane.

For main propulsion, twin Cummins QSM11 610HP engines allow smooth cruising at 11 knots (12.6 mph/20.4 kph) for a 1,000 nautical mile range with zero speed electric stabilizers ensuring a smooth ride. The in-line, 6 cylinder 4- stroke diesel engines provide a top speed of 14 knots, with Magnolia enjoying an expansive 1,600 nautical mile range at a gentle nine knots.
