Elma Avdic – Vice President, Components Engineering

Avdic has been appointed to a newly expanded role leading global engineering for Cummins’ Components business segment, where she will oversee product engineering, software development and service delivery for key technologies including turbochargers, fuel systems, valvetrain and electronics. She is known for her principled, passionate leadership, deep technical expertise and ability to unite global teams around complex challenges with curiosity, clarity and care.

Since joining Cummins in 2005, Avdic has held increasingly complex leadership roles across the Engine and Components businesses. Her early work in engine control systems helped the company meet stringent emissions regulations while improving performance across its pickup platforms, including the Dodge Ram 6.7L turbodiesel. She later held multiple technical leadership roles, guiding products from 2.8 liters to 15 liters through development and into production—most notably serving as platform leader for the 2021 launch of the X15 engine. In her current role, she leads engineering for turbochargers, fuel systems, valvetrain and software and electronics across the Components business. Under her leadership, the team has strengthened performance and quality for key engine components, expanded software capabilities and accelerated innovation across the portfolio.

Yongquan Chai – Vice President, Components China

Chai brings more than 20 years of diverse leadership experience at Cummins, with roles spanning engineering, sales, marketing and service. He began his career in Columbus, Indiana, in advanced controls and has served in engineering and leadership roles across heavy-duty engineering and the Cummins Emissions Solutions (CES) business. In 2013, he returned to China as CES China Chief Engineer and was later named CES China General Manager. He has served as General Manager of Components China since 2022, overseeing a portfolio that includes all Components businesses in the region as well as several key joint ventures.

Chai is known for his strategic thinking, calm under pressure and thoughtful decision-making. Under his leadership, the Components business has delivered strong operational performance and record revenues, launched fit-for-market after-treatment solutions and expanded Cummins’ presence through several strategic partnerships. He leads with both precision and empathy and is deeply committed to developing talent and building high-performance teams in one of Cummins’ most dynamic markets.

Karen Weber – Vice President, Ethics and Compliance

Weber has held several senior legal roles since joining Cummins in 2013, most recently serving as Deputy General Counsel and Head of Global Litigation. She played a pivotal role in guiding the company and advising its Board of Directors through complex legal and regulatory matters with clarity and care. She has also been instrumental in strengthening Cummins' compliance culture through global training and risk mitigation initiatives—reinforcing the company’s shared responsibility to always do what’s right.

In her current role, Weber leads the company’s ethics, compliance and investigations teams, ensuring Cummins operates in accordance with its values, leads with integrity and creates safe and respectful environments for its employees. She is recognized for her steady moral compass, transparent communication and ability to navigate complex legal and ethical issues with care and conviction. Her people-first leadership style has made her a trusted advisor across the company.

Brian Wilson – Vice President, eMobility

Since joining Cummins in 2008, Wilson has held a variety of roles across corporate strategy, the growth office, Cummins’ light construction business, European off-highway sales and the global bus business. In these roles, he spent significant time in Europe, China and India, delivering strong growth and working closely with customers and Cummins teams to advance the company’s global reach. Most recently, he served as General Manager of Electrified Components before stepping into the role of General Manager for Accelera’s eMobility business. Based in Columbus, Indiana, Brian now leads the integration of batteries, e-axles, traction systems, auxiliary controls and electric powertrain solutions into a seamless offering for customers.

Wilson is known for his strategic vision, approachable leadership style and ability to empower teams while delivering results with integrity. Under his leadership, the Cummins eMobility business has made remarkable progress—launching a battery cell joint venture with Daimler Truck, PACCAR and EVE that will create more than 2,000 U.S. manufacturing jobs; delivering more than 2,600 electric school buses through the company’s partnership with Blue Bird; and developing a fully integrated battery-electric powertrain for Isuzu’s F-series medium-duty truck.
