CDBS Trailer

The MTec6 trailer axle was designed to help fleets save fuel and expand payload capacity for a lower cost of ownership. Designed to replace traditional 5-inch and 5.75-inch axle designs, the 6-inch diameter MTec6 offers industry-leading weight savings and structural advantages to improve fleet productivity.
Features & Benefits
- Precision-formed, single-piece axle tube design produces a robust, lightweight axle with better overall material consistency and fewer stress risers than multi-piece axles with friction-welded spindles
- Six-inch diameter and weight-to-optimized wall thickness make the MTec6 stiffer than smaller-diameter axles reducing axle deflection so tires maintain a more uniform contact patch to the road
- Factory-installed suspension brackets are welded robotically prior to painting or coating, ensuring enhanced connection to the axle beam
- Available with 16.5-inch x 7-inch Q+™ drum brakes with PlatinumShield III, known for proven performance, long life and ease of service to S-cam bushings
- PlatinumShield coating offers unsurpassed resistance to rust-jacking and corrosion, extending brake life
- Q+ drum brakes come with industry-preferred brake linings and innovative features, including bolt-on S-cam bushings, unique barrel-shaped brake rollers and the lightest-weight spider in its class
- Available with EX+™ air disc brakes for improved braking performance and serviceability
