Colgate plant upgrades to 1 MW generator with Cummins
By Anisha George , Marketing Communications Specialist
Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Ltd. is a well-known consumer products company with operational headquarters in Karachi. In 1806 in New York City, William Colgate began his starch, soap and candle business, and Colgate-Palmolive products now sell in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.
The manufacturing plant in Kotri, Pakistan, required an upgrade to a 1 MW generator set for fulfilling the future load requirement. One Cummins C1400D5 generator set is now providing that standby power. Cummins’ authorized distributor Orient Energy Systems (Pvt.) Limited fulfilled a previous order of a Cummins C900D5 generator set to Colgate’s sister company, and beat out tough competition to continue the partnership through this contract. Cummins’ brand reputation and strong customer service and aftersales support from OES contributed a great deal to this success.
