Because it’s lightweight without compromising on power, the X12 was specially selected by a panel of truck journalists for this achievement in innovation, setting it apart from all other products. The X12 is ideal for customers in vocational and regional haul markets whose jobs depend on a truck’s ability to handle heavy loads. The lighter the engine, the more payload trucks can carry. And at just 2,050 lbs. – up to 600 lbs. lighter than its predecessor at Cummins and hundreds of pounds lighter than its next closest competitor – that’s a lot of payload.

Customers of the X12 will see even more value when they pair the engine with the Endurant from the Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies joint venture, offering exclusive powertrain features for enhanced performance, efficiency and driver confidence. Together, the X12 + Endurant is the lightest, most efficient and durable powertrain available for even the most severe duty cycles.
