By Cummins Inc., Global Power Technology Leader

Established in 1911 and observed annually on March 8, International Women’s Day honors the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This day serves as a call to action to celebrate, amplify and contribute to the advancement of women’s equality, everywhere.
Cummins Powers Women, an organizational commitment to gender equality, partners with nine global nonprofits and countless community organizations to accelerate the advancement and prosperity of women and girls. Since its launch on International Women’s Day in 2018, Cummins Powers Women has engineered solutions to the challenges women face in education, economic opportunity, legal rights and personal safety. To date, the program has helped more than 27 million women and girls.
This year, Cummins Powers Women celebrated with the theme #InclusioninAction and joined employee resource and gender focused groups, Cummins Inc. regional teams, nonprofit partners and employees around the world in demonstrating Cummins’ core value of inclusion by advancing gender equality in Cummins’ global communities. True to the theme, employees hosted and participated in events and programming that reflected how all action in support of women is important and valued.
This year’s celebrations featured:
- Over 40 global events and programs hosted across seven regions, including women’s conferences, community events, career sessions, personal safety trainings, performances and creative workshops, and many more.
- An #InclusioninAction toolkit created to spark ideas and encourage conversations in support of making a personal commitment to advance gender equality.
- Employees from around the world sharing inspirational reflections on inclusion in their personal and professional lives.
