Kyle Myrick is a proud owner of a 2015 Cummins Turbo Diesel-powered Ram Tradesman pickup truck, with over 300,000 miles on the odometer. As a mining engineer with over 20 years of experience, his truck is continuously put to the test in harsh environments—not only as part of Kyle’s work but also in support of his passion for travel and adventure.

Kyle’s extreme and remote off-road routes led to him adding an in-bed auxiliary fuel tank which provides him an additional 100 gallons of fuel to support his longer days in remote locations without nearby gas stations, or spotty cell phone service. "From my long travels between Nevada and Utah, to adventuring into steep rugged mountains, my truck has always had the power and reliability to get me there,” said Myrick.

"To say I trust my life to my truck is an understatement. As much fun as those off-road adventures can be, it’s always a relief at the end of the day to make it back home safely."

Myrick depends on his Heavy-Duty Ram truck, powered by Cummins 6.7L Turbo Diesel, in all four seasons of the year and in a variety of terrains, climates, and elevations. His greatest Ram truck adventure was traveling over the Sierra Nevada Mountains during a major snowstorm. His truck gave him the confidence he could conquer the rough weather and challenging roads and reach his family safely.

“To this day, the Cummins engine has yet to give me any issues and I’ve only had to do standard maintenance that any truck would need”

In his line of work, reliability and performance are critical to getting the job done and making it home at the end of the day. Kyle recalled a summer college internship in northern Arizona when he first had the opportunity to work closely with a Cummins engine installed in air compressor equipment.

He admired how well it performed in extreme weather conditions, hearing stories from fellow employees and technicians around how much they loved Cummins. He knew he’d have to have one after that, and his Ram truck has brought that dream to reality.
