Built for the future
The B7.2 diesel will be automatic engine shutdown and stop-start capable and will offer a compression release engine brake. It will also feature a belt-driven, high-output 48-volt alternator and a new aftertreatment to meet all emissions standards.
The new B7.2 diesel engine will become available in North America starting in January 2027.

The engine brake aids in slowing and controlling the vehicle without the use of the service brakes. This reduces service brake maintenance, shortens trip times and lowers total cost of ownership (TCO).
