Hydrogen fuel cells generate electricity through an electrochemical reaction where hydrogen and oxygen combine to produce electricity, water, and heat. They power vehicles using hydrogen, a zero-carbon fuel, by supplying electricity to an electric motor. Fuel cell hydrogen vehicles (FCEVs) are efficient for lower loads or operating without a load.
Hydrogen is easily produced from water using renewable electricity through a process called electrolysis. In this highly efficient electrochemical reaction that takes place in our electrolyzer system, water converts into hydrogen and generates hydrogen gas. This process emits no greenhouse gases and is both colorless and odorless.
