Cummins’ commitment to sustainability

Destination Zero™ is our strategic commitment to supporting customers in their efforts to reduce emissions through a diverse portfolio of advanced technologies. This includes cutting-edge, ultra-low emission diesel, natural gas, and hydrogen-powered engines that significantly lower tailpipe emissions while maintaining optimal performance and operational range. By continuously enhancing our engine-based solutions, Cummins aims to equip bus operators with reliable and cost-effective technologies that contribute positively to their sustainability goals.

Engines

B6.7H engine
B6.7H

The Cummins B6.7H hydrogen engine delivers 216kW (290 hp) of power and 1200 Nm of peak torque, offering diesel-like performance with zero-carbon fuel for 9-10 metre coach applications. Its familiar design and high parts commonality with existing diesel and natural gas engines simplify integration and support efficient parts management for mixed-fuel fleets.

L9N engine
L9N

The Cummins L9N natural gas engine produces 280-320hp (209-239kW) of power and 1356 Nm of peak torque, perfect for city bus operators who want to achieve lower emission levels,  but need the performance and reliability of natural gas power. This engine operates on CNG or LNG fuel with a lower carbon footprint than diesel and is fully compatible with renewable natural gas (RNG) or biogas, offering the option of significant well to wheels emissions reductions.
