Fly-in Brazil Mixes Barbecue With Innovation
Inspired by the Power Seminar program in the U.S. that welcomes customers from all around the world to Cummins Power Systems manufacturing plant in Fridley, Minnesota, the first-ever Fly-In Brazil brought together distributors and customers to learn the latest information and technology aimed at projects and specifications of more reliable and economical energy systems.
Attendees included 10 sales managers and coordinators from the Cummins-owned and five independent distributors, and 24 customers from different segments and states of the country in sectors such as construction, food, supermarkets, education, health, telecommunications and technology.
The mission was to provide a dynamic seminar that provided technical knowledge and innovative tools relevant to the development of power generation solutions to meet the most diverse needs and specifications, creating an environment that facilitated the exchange of information between the participants and Cummins’ engineers and specialists.
"Our customers in Brazil had the opportunity to receive technical information through talks from our employees, and they visited all our manufacturing plants in the country,” said Ricardo Graciolli, Application and Sales Engineer for Cummins Power Systems in Brazil. “Our perception is that the event was a great success because we had the possibility to greatly extend our relationship with these customers and we hope that in 2019 we will have new editions of Fly-In Brazil.”
In addition to the technical lectures and visits to Cummins engines, generators and components factories in Brazil, the guests participated in a barbecue workshop at the Grill Experience, a unique activity that mixed barbecue techniques with corporate techniques, such as negotiation and teamwork, through practical activities directly at the barbecue.
