Cummins announces retirement of Srikanth Padmanabhan, Executive Vice President and President – Operations

Cummins Inc. today announced the retirement of Srikanth Padmanabhan, Executive Vice President and President – Operations, effective April 4. Srikanth has been a distinguished leader and integral part of the Cummins family for 34 years, marking the end of a remarkable chapter in the company's history.

Srikanth's journey with Cummins began in 1991, when he joined the company with a bold vision for its future. Over the years, he has held various roles in manufacturing and plant leadership across Indiana, Tennessee, and Mexico, and progressed to global business leadership positions in Cummins’ Power Generation, Components and Engine businesses. His tenure has been marked by a commitment to leveraging Cummins' strengths, pushing boundaries to innovate for customers and positioning the company as a leading powertrain supplier and trusted partner in the transition to a sustainable future.

Jennifer Rumsey, Chair and CEO of Cummins, expressed her appreciation for Srikanth's contributions: "I have the utmost respect and deepest gratitude for Srikanth. His leadership, dedication and business contributions have left an indelible impact on Cummins, and I am immensely grateful for his years of service."

As President of Cummins Emissions Solutions, Srikanth set the company on a path to a sustainable future, ensuring compliance with stringent emissions regulations and expanding the business globally. As President of the Engine business, he led the company through periods of record revenues, growth in joint ventures and significant improvements in product quality. His innovative spirit fostered the development of the Cummins HELM™ fuel-agnostic platforms, driving advancements in diesel efficiency and fuel optionality.

Srikanth's belief in leveraging partnerships has been a cornerstone of Cummins' growth strategy during the energy transition. He played a key role in cementing partnerships with major industry players, shaping the ambitious growth and product launches that will define the Engine Business in the coming decade.

In addition to his professional achievements, Srikanth has been a strong advocate for diversity and community engagement. He has represented Cummins on the boards of the National Association of Manufacturers, the American Transportation Research Institute and the Cummins Foundation. His support for education and thriving communities has led to significant contributions to various initiatives, including the building of a Hindu temple in Columbus and support for first-generation college students through IU Columbus.
