Cummins Power Generation announces robust updates to product sizing tool, Power Suite™

Power Generation announced updates to Power Suite™, a free online portal for power system product sizing, specification generation, and power generation technical tools. These updates are designed to enhance user experience and modernize legacy applications.

“We are excited to reintroduce Power Suite to our partners and customers. From being released as a compact disc (CD) to being fully digital and leveraging latest technology, our goal is for Power Suite to be an industry leading hub for sizing tools and other Power Gen specific apps,” said Paula Rath, Cummins Power Generation Sales Director.

The Power Suite™ revamp boasts the following tools:

  • Product Finder: an intuitive tool that allows users to browse Cummins’ power generation products. It includes a comparison function, shortcuts to the library, and advanced filter options, making it easier than ever to find the right product users need.
  • Standalone GenCalc™: a tool developed by expert engineers that calculate a range of project parameters such as ventilation, short circuit, exhaust back pressure, remote cooling, and fuel pipe sizing. This tool is now available globally, supporting both metric and US customary units.

GenSize™ 2.0

The most significant feature of the new Power Suite™ is  GenSize™ 2.0. Upgrades include:

  • Advanced sizing tool for product recommendations according to customer loads and project parameters
  • Faster and more reliable system performance
  • Optimized accuracy following thorough review of algorithms and product data tables
  • Easy to use/more intuitive and modernized UI including predictive search, drag and drop functionality and smart summaries
  • Direct product comparison to make product selection a much more reassuring experience
  • Unlimited projects/no cap (users were previously limited to 99)

Enhancements have been made to the product library within Seismic. The tool is now integrated into the portal, and the region-specific product library makes it easier to locate the required product documentation.

For quick assistance or support, users can access a chatbot within Power Suite™. Connecting directly with our sales teams through the product finder and GenSize™ 2.0 has never been easier.

Power Suite™ is free for all to sign up and use. The platform serves as a comprehensive hub for news, technical documents, drawings, training, and tools related to power generation products. This update marks the start of Power Suite™'s innovation journey, with upcoming features like the BESS sizing tool and Modernized Site-Specific Rating tool anticipated next year.
