Cummins Shows Latest Off Highway Engines at ICUEE

Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) is showcasing its latest products for the construction industry at ICUEE (International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition, Louisville KY October 1-3).   On booth N1023 visitors will see the Cummins low-emission engines and power generation products.

Louisville, Kentucky

For the first time at ICUEE, Cummins will display the B4.5 Performance Series engine for the off-highway market.  Available up to 200 hp, this 4-cylinder product has a high-power density for improved machine capability in wheel loader, excavators, roller/compactor and air compressor applications.

The B4.5 is one of the ranges of performance series engines, dual certified to Tier 4 Final and Stage V. From 75 to 675 hp they offer operators higher performance, more machine capability and lower total cost of ownership. For equipment manufacturers, the removal of EGR from the F3.8 to L9 range reduces installation complexity and space claim.

Cummins will also display the lightest class 8 engine, the all new X12.  Delivering 512 hp (to check) the X12 is especially designed for weight-sensitive applications.  It is up to 600 lbs. lighter than other medium-bore engines and 150 lbs. lighter than the next lightest engine in its class.

Cummins Power Generation will showcase three products: A Quiet Gas (QG) commercial EFI, a Quiet Diesel (QD) commercial and a Standard Diesel (SD) commercial. Cummins Power Generators are time tested, proven technology with the largest service network of any generator manufacturer.

As seen at the recent Bauma show in Germany, a Cummins-powered Hyundai electric excavator will be on display at the Hyundai booth (K345). Visitors to the Cummins booth can try their hand at virtual operation of the concept electric excavator, which will be located inside the Cummins tour truck.
