Centum Series Generators wins Gold in CSE Magazine Product Of The Year’s Power Category

Today, Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) is proud to announce that the Centum^TM Series generators won gold in the Power Category of the prestigious Consulting Specifying Engineer (CSE) Product of the Year awards . With the introduction of the Centum Series, Cummins has set the new standard of power for the next 100 years. 

The Centum Series allows our customers to specify the exact amount of power needed — no more, no less. The Centum Series is a high-performance, high-power density system that delivers the power our customer need in a smaller footprint, enabling them to hit performance specifications without being required to buy more than needed.

The first release in this evolving generator series, the Centum C1250D6E / C1500D6E generator sets include: 

• QSK38 engine and S Series alternator delivers superior power efficiency in a smaller footprint
• Compact design, offering an ease of installation, service and maintenance 
• Robust transient performance and high altitude/ambient performance
• U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards for Tier 2 up to Tier 4 compliant 
• Unmatched onboard diagnostics tools allow easy operation and serviceability 
• A standard three-year warranty and global availability of technicians, parts and engineering support

This new line of generator sets reflect Cummins continual investment in new and sustainable technologies as part of Destination Zero, the company’s strategy for reaching zero emissions. The Centum Series C1250D6E / C1500D6E generator sets are approved for use with paraffinic fuels (EN15940), including hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), which offers the potential to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions 40-90% over the total lifecycle of the generator set—without sacrificing performance.
