Cummins Inc. (NYSE:CMI) is redefining performance across vocational and jobsite applications with the Cummins X10™ mid-bore diesel engine and a portfolio of rental power solutions designed to support demanding construction environments. Showcased for the first time at World of Concrete, the X10 is engineered to deliver the power, durability and efficiency vocational customers require, while Cummins’ rental power offerings provide flexible, reliable energy solutions for jobsite and temporary power needs.
Cummins X10™
Progressing toward full production, the 10-liter platform enables fleets and OEMs to prepare now for upcoming 2027 emissions requirements while maintaining the performance they depend on today.
“The X10 provides a clear path forward as a critical next step for vocational customers who need heavy duty capability without unnecessary complexity,” said Obed Ruiz, General Manager, Vocational Business at Cummins. “We’re focused on helping fleets understand how X10 delivers the power, durability and efficiency they expect from Cummins while positioning them for the next emissions era.”
Built on the proven legacy of the L9 and X12, the X10 delivers heavy-duty capability in a more compact, efficient package offering up to 2% improved fuel economy. It is well suited for demanding applications such as concrete mixers, dumps, refuse, utility, and other high-duty-cycle vocational operations.
“X10 is designed on 40 years of proven experience and heavy-duty architecture,” said Tara Johnson, Cummins North America On-Highway X10 Product Manager. “It delivers the longevity of the L9 and X12 like power with a smaller space claim and the durability customers depend on when uptime matters most.”
The X10 engine can be viewed in person at Cummins Booth C6111 at World of Concrete, where Cummins experts will be available to discuss design and applications.
