The Cummins-Meritor MS-230/MS-240 single rear drive axle for linehaul and city delivery applications is engineered for the toughest and most demanding jobs. With its dual speed design, it delivers performance at reduced maintenance and operating costs. Built to optimize performance and deliver a second speed option to the driver, the MS-230/MS-240 offers a gross combined weight (GCW) of 27.2 tons or 60,000 lbs. for the MS-230 and 35 tons or 77,200 lbs. for the MS-240. The housing is capable of gross axle weight ratings (GAWR) of 10.5 tons or 23,000 lbs.
