The legacy

When the X15 first came out it’s almost like the engine grew a soul of itself. Everybody knows when they raise the hood of a truck that if it’s a red engine, it’s a Cummins engine.

Jose Samperio – VP and General Manager for Cummins On-Highway Business in North America

It’s strong. It’s powerful. It meets their needs, and it does it every day. It’s just been a really key player in the market.

Anna Dibble – Engine Business Custodial Manufacturing Executive Director

When the legacy X15 was first introduced, the NOx emissions were 4 grams per horsepower hour. When we look at 2027 emissions regulations, the NOx standard is 0.035 grams per horsepower hour. That’s a 99% reduction in NOx emissions.
