Quiet Power, Loud Praise
Today, for my first post, who doesn’t love a big, hairy product review? So, let’s get to it as I review one of my favorite products—the Onan QG 7000i DF generator. This is the newest addition to the Cummins family of inverter RV generators. At only 200 lbs., it is 100 lbs. lighter than the generator it replaces in the lineup. If it weren’t for the weight savings, I would have to go on a diet to lose 100 lbs. and nobody likes me when I’m hangry. Plus, I would have to give up midnight raids of unsuspecting campers’ marshmallow stashes, and that’s not a life Biggie wants to live. The weight savings are good for humans, too, because while they don’t weigh 800 lbs. like me, they do like their modern conveniences, which means 100 lbs. more gear they can pack for their adventures.
I would have a hard time staying secret if my campsite sounded like a jet engine. That’s why one of my very favorite features is the low noise output of the QG 7000i DF. There are a lot of technical features that allow the generator to run quietly; just trust me, it’s so quiet that I can crush my blog without being distracted. This helps keep my whereabouts secret and means the generator won’t scare away my forest friends.
I love the electronic fuel injection (EFI) system. My old generator had issues with fuel varnishing. It was terrible because it made my generator run like me before I’ve had my morning coffee. Cummins’ EFI system is return-less, so there is a single fuel line and no carburetor. This allows the generator to run more smoothly, is easier to install, and requires less maintenance (another helpful perk to keeping my secrets – shhh).
But my favorite perk to the Onan QG 7000i DF? It boasts the same legendary power as me, Bigfoot, but without all the hair, noise, size and weight. So, take it from me, a true legend, that this is truly a legendary product. That’s why it gets my “Squatch-Approved” stamp of approval and a 5-star review.
