Power Train Courses

Power Train is a two-day course delivered by the Sales Application Engineering team in Kent, covering the fundamental aspects of diesel generator sets.

The Power Train course is now fully CPD accredited. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) accreditation demonstrates the exceptional quality of training delivered during Powertrain, as well as the continued commitment by the SAE team to improve the course for our customers. Delegates will be awarded with 13 CPD hours for completing the Powertrain Course.

The course is specifically designed for our customers, especially those electrical, mechanical and consulting engineers that design and specify generator installations.The training will give you a chance to explore the products that we offer and discuss projects with the SAE team.

Products

The engines, alternators and gensets that Cummins offers will be discussed, highlighting the key technical advantages that we can provide to our customers.

Mechanical Installation

Key installation considerations will be discussed such as cooling & ventilation, fuel systems, exhaust systems, emissions and noise.

Electrical Installation

Low voltage, medium voltage & high voltage applications pose different challenges which will be discussed in depth.

Controls

The controllers that we offer and the technical capabilities of these will be discussed in detail. Paralleling considerations will be a key discussion point.

This is one of few tailored courses offered by a leading company in the power generation industry, where you can be confident that you are receiving the highest quality of training from SAE experts in their chosen fields.
