The new engine will continue to bring reliability, versatility and durability to a diverse customer base in the medium-duty commercial vehicle market, while taking advantage of the latest engine technology from Cummins.
Diesel-like performance, gasoline dependability: B6.7 Octane
Cummins is proud to showcase its first advancement into the gasoline market with the B6.7 Octane at NTEA. Built from decades of experience in medium-duty, it is equipped with power, durability and diesel-like performance while adding the convenience and simplicity of gasoline.
This engine offers up to 300 horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque, providing customers with dependable power and up to 10% better fuel economy over other gasoline-powered engines. The B6.7 Octane uses standard 87 octane gasoline and requires less maintenance with a simple, passive three-way catalyst and no need for DEF (diesel exhaust fluid).
Validated by up to two million real-world testing miles across various applications and duty cycles, Cummins B6.7 Octane is proven to be durable and dependable in the hands of customers. For more information, visit www.cummins.com/engines/octane.
New 2025 6.7L Turbo Diesel for heavy duty pickup trucks

The new 2025 6.7L Turbo Diesel was unveiled in January this year and delivers an impressive list of drivability, towing and serviceability improvements.
“We’ve designed our engines to perform the jobs our customers need from their work trucks. We’ve also made the new 6.7L Turbo Diesel fun to drive with 430 horsepower and 1,075 lb.-ft. of torque for Pickups, and 360 horsepower and 800 lb.-ft. of torque for Chassis Cab. We’re proud to continue our legacy of delivering the best of both worlds which we’ve done for more than 35 years,” said Jane Beaman, Vice President – Global On-Highway and Pickup at Cummins.
Cummins’ new 6.7L Turbo Diesel is powering all of Ram Truck’s Heavy-Duty diesel lineup—which Ram will also be displaying at NTEA. Show visitors will have a unique opportunity to speak with experts from Cummins and Ram brands during the show. For more information, visit www.cummins.tech/pickup.
