Human Rights

Cummins prohibits all forms of Child Labor, Forced Labor and Human Trafficking-related activities.

Respect for human rights is fundamental to the sustainability of Cummins and the communities in which we operate. Cummins is committed to ensuring that all people are treated with dignity and respect.  Cummins requires this same commitment from all of its business partners.

The Cummins Human Rights Policy is guided by international human rights principles related to Forced Labor as encompassed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labor Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the United Nations Global Compact and the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Our Human Rights Policy applies to all Cummins entities worldwide and prohibits the use of all forms of child labor and forced labor, including threat of force or penalty, prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor, military labor, slave labor, and any form of human trafficking. Our policy also prohibits Cummins employees from engaging in trafficking-related activities for portions of contracts and subcontracts. Finally, Cummins is committed to supply chain transparency and will ensure our suppliers and partners in high-risk areas adopt relevant measures to mitigate such risks.

If you have any questions or become aware of any action not consistent with Cummins policy or the law, you may contact the Ethics and Compliance team for assistance. Send an email to ethicsandcompliance@cummins.com and the appropriate person will contact you.
